Will found himself smiling as well, taking in the way Sabine and Scott interacted, how fond of each other they obviously were. "Good company can be hard to come by," Will agreed, nodding at Scott and meeting his eyes for a moment. There was something there that seemed a little unusual, but Will couldn't put his finger on what it might be. Still, he didn't feel any animosity or deceit coming from the man, and though trust wasn't implicit, Will felt no reason to fear or distrust him.

"Sabine said you were from home," Will said, working to start a conversation. "Have you known each other a long time?"
