That was one of the most touching things he'd ever heard and one of the most kind offers that had ever been put before him. He smiled softly and gave a nod.

"I appreciate that," he said. And then, because a light touch wasn't nearly enough for such a moment, Jack wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in for a hug. Like that she seemed so much tinier than he'd previously realized, or maybe he felt that he was larger somehow. Whatever it was, they fit together well.
