She couldn't find her Darling anywhere. She couldn't see, smell, or hear him, or any of the girls, or even any other recognizable Liminal as far as she could tell. Every corridor was new and strange and Darling still frighteningly out of sight, which only fueled her desperation to find him. For all she knew he could be selecting his bride at that very moment, that he wouldn't or couldn't wait for her, and she was stuck far away as some unworthy wretch took him as her husband.
Honestly, she couldn't stand for that.
So intent on finding him as she was, she almost didn't notice the young woman until she heard a yell. it was the first time since leaving that awful room that she took notice of anything outside of her urgency, and the squawk of surprise startled a similar one from herself as she whirled. "What," she blinked, clutching her hands to her chest and coiling herself tightly, scales rippling and gleaming. "Why are you yelling?"
