Scott would rather die than be responsible for killing a bunch of innocents. He still hated himself for everything he'd done while the Canaanites had him.
"For that matter, if an army of ghosts ever starts massacring innocent people," Sabine added in a tone that said it wasn't quite as ridiculous as it sounded. "So would I."
